HOW TO PACK YOUR BIKE
Step 1:
Go to your local bike shop and get a bike shipping box.
Step 2:
Remove the following items from your bike:
 | Pedals |
| Gooseneck (leave handlebars, brake lever and cable attached) |
| Front wheel |
| Seat |
Step 3:
Put the bike in the bike box with the rear wheel attached and chain still on the bike. Put the gooseneck with the handlebars attached next to the bike and the front wheel on the other side. You can tie the handlebars to the frame with some string to keep it from moving around. Next close the box up and tape it up. Also be sure and put your name and address on the box as well as your phone number. You are now read to take your bike with you. A couple of things to remember. Don't forget your pedals, seat and tools. I also pack some old towels around the bike to keep it from moving around in the box. You can then use them at the race to clean the bike. (The hotel's won't get upset with you for using there good towels.)
